Milan, 27th August 2025 The cooperation between the Venice International Film Festival – La Biennale di Venezia and Cinemeccanica SpA continues: the company is once again the Official Technical Sponsor of the 82nd edition. In agreement with the Venice Biennale, this edition continues the progressive evolution of the Barco projection technology that powers the event’s film screenings. The 2025 edition will feature Laser by Barco, Barco’s award-winning laser projection technology, in addition to legacy digital cinema presentation formats. Alongside the energy savings associated with laser projection, today’s Barco projectors also deliver better colour representation on screen. This year, select festival cinemas will be equipped with both technologies – legacy digital models and next-generation Laser by Barco projection – enabling filmmakers the artistic freedom to choose the best way to showcase their art. Of particular interest are the two Barco Series 4 4K laser projectors with HC (high contrast) lenses installed in the In the Sala Grande and Darsena, selected to deliver exceptional movie presentation through every screening.
